Booking & Cancellation Policy
By booking an appointment with Sol Culture, you acknowledge and agree to the following booking terms.
Appointments
Sol Culture offers naturopathic consultations in person and via telehealth.
New clients are required to book an Initial Consultation before booking follow-up services, unless otherwise agreed.
Please ensure you select the appropriate appointment type when booking. If you are unsure which consultation is right for you, please get in touch before your appointment.
Appointment times are reserved specifically for you. Please arrive or join your telehealth appointment on time so we can make the most of your allocated consultation.
Late arrival
If you arrive late, your consultation may still need to finish at the originally scheduled time to avoid impacting the next client.
The full consultation fee will generally still apply.
If you are significantly late and there is not enough time to safely or appropriately conduct the consultation, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and treated as a late cancellation.
Cancellations & rescheduling
Life happens, and sometimes appointments need to change.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.
Cancellations or rescheduling made with more than 24 hours' notice will not attract a cancellation fee.
For cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of your appointment, a fee of 50% of the consultation cost may apply.
Failure to attend your appointment without notice may result in the full consultation fee being charged.
These fees reflect the time that has been reserved for your appointment and the limited opportunity to offer that appointment to another client at short notice.
I understand that genuine emergencies and unexpected circumstances occur. Please get in touch as soon as possible if something outside of your control prevents you from attending. Cancellation fees may be waived at Sol Culture's discretion where appropriate.
Practitioner cancellations
While every effort will be made to keep your appointment as scheduled, there may occasionally be circumstances where I need to reschedule or cancel.
If this happens, I’ll contact you as soon as possible and offer the next suitable appointment time.
If you have already paid for your consultation, your payment can be transferred to the rescheduled appointment or refunded if you are unable to attend the alternative time.
Consultation fees & payment
Current consultation fees are displayed at the time of booking and on the Sol Culture website.
Payment is required in accordance with the payment instructions provided when booking or following your consultation.
Any additional costs, including prescribed supplements, herbal medicines, pathology or functional testing, are separate from the consultation fee unless expressly stated otherwise.
Where additional testing or products are recommended, these will be discussed with you before proceeding.
Telehealth appointments
It is your responsibility to ensure you have a suitable device, internet connection and private environment for your telehealth consultation.
Please ensure you are in a safe location where you can speak openly and are not driving or undertaking another activity that may interfere with the consultation.
If significant technical issues prevent the consultation from taking place, we will make reasonable efforts to find an appropriate solution or reschedule where necessary.
Your health information
To provide naturopathic care, Sol Culture collects personal and sensitive health information.
By engaging Sol Culture's services, you consent to the collection and use of information reasonably necessary to provide your care, subject to the Sol Culture Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy law.
You are responsible for providing information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge, including relevant diagnoses, medications, supplements, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, pathology results and other healthcare you are receiving.
Naturopathic care
Naturopathic care is intended to complement, not replace, appropriate medical care.
Recommendations may include nutritional strategies, lifestyle interventions, herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, further testing and/or referral to another healthcare professional.
No particular health outcome can be guaranteed. Individual responses to treatment vary.
You should not stop or alter prescribed medication or medical treatment without discussing this with the prescribing healthcare professional.
Where symptoms require medical investigation, urgent assessment or care outside the scope of naturopathic practice, you may be referred to your GP, specialist or another appropriate healthcare provider.
Emergencies
Sol Culture does not provide an emergency medical service and communication channels are not continuously monitored.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency or require urgent medical attention, call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department.
Communication between appointments
Reasonable administrative questions regarding your existing treatment plan may be answered between appointments.
New symptoms, substantial changes to your health, complex treatment questions or requests requiring clinical assessment may require an Acute Consultation, Follow-Up Consultation or Extended Review rather than being managed by email or message.
Agreement
By booking and attending a consultation with Sol Culture, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Booking & Cancellation Policy.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
